I was born as a twin on April 27, 2000, in Landshut, Germany. Since my youth, I have made numerous little short films andmusic videos. After school I began gaining my first experiences inthe film industry through various internships: at ARRI RentalMunich, in post-production at Panoptimo, as well as on severalcommercial, film and series productions in the grip, lighting, andcamera departments. This included working on the feature film“FRANCE” by Bruno Dumont and the Netflix series“BIOHACKERS” by Christian Ditter. Since 2020, I have been studying Cinematography in Department VII at the University ofTelevision and Film Munich (HFF) under the Proffessors: PeterZeitlinger (ASC) and Christian Rein (BVK) including a workshop atla Fémis with Eric Gautier (AFC). Films for which I have served ascinematographer have been screened at renowned festivals like the Max Ophüls Festival, Diagonale, Interfilm, YDA, Hofer Filmtage, Clermont-Ferrand and several others.
In 2024 I was very proud toshoot my first Feature length Film “Callas Darling” and I am even prouder for it to be in competition at MaxOphpüls Preis 2025 and Diagonale 2025 .As a queer man from the countryside, I am especially interested in films that explore themes of identity, origin, sexuality and the body - and more generally in cinema that is rooted in a loving gaze toward its characters. Photography and painting are my greatest inspirations, the light of everyday life my dearestfriend, and I am always in search of a good story.
